05.08.2007  -  Sport Relief was set up by Comic Relief and BBC Sport. It recognises that the power and passion of sport is a valuable tool in tackling poverty and disadvantage, both in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.  Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available. 

03.19.2007  -  To date, most of our grantmaking has been in the form of one-off grants, usually awarding amounts up to £5,000. We will also now be making some larger and longer-term grants through the new Community Investment Programme. Grants made through this programme will reflect a strategic approach to achieving the Scottish Community Foundation’s vision of strong, successful Scottish communities.

The Scottish Community Foundation (SCF) today announced it iaims to distribute £7.5M every year to charities and constituted voluntary groups throughout Scotland from 2012.
