Background  
The Moidart Trust was established by Angus and Michie MacDonald in 2007.
  
How Grants are made from the Fund
Grants will be made to community organisations and charities under the following criteria:

• Community development and social enterprise projects in the north-west of Scotland
• Community projects which improve the quality of life for the people of the Highlands of Scotland
• UK registered charities which support people in developing countries

Applications to this Fund will usually be received via the Community Grants programme.  However applicants are welcome to telephone the Grants Team in our Glasgow office to discuss their application.  In some cases, applications from community-based enterprise projects which might not fit the criteria for Community Grants will also be accepted.

In addition, Angus and Michie MacDonald will use the fund to make grants to UK registered charities which support people in developing countries.
